Deccorating A Tank

Just bought 2 pieces of jati wood to go into my Rekord 600.I've soaked it in conditioned water but when i put it in the tank it just floats!Has anyone got any idea why?
Please help!

Its usually because air is trapped in the wood, once the water soaks right into it it will sink try weighting it down with a rock maybe? Or use aquarium sealant to put it to a flat piece of slate and then bury the slate in the sand/gravel
