Everything seemed fine and then all of a sudden most (20) of my fish died. The water tested fine for all the necessary issues like amonia and nitrites. There has been a significant growth in algae. Everything I can think of is OK. The fish did not have any out-of-the-ordinary appearance. There was no ich. What could it be? How do I deal with this problem? It is very discouraging. Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your fish. What kind were they, what size tank, and how long had it been set up?

Yeah those are sorts important tidbits. tank size and what sort of fish and time established. But also list anything you've done to the tank recently. When were the past few water changes. How much water was exchanged. What are you exact levelf of PH Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate. Any symptoms or just sudden death.
