Dead Shrimp And Snails?

All my shrimp have disappered and all the snails have died with only the shells left.

There is nothing new in the tank, fish, plants, or anything but like I said the inverts seem to have just all died at once. I cant think of anything different I have done and they have been fine and breeding for the past year. The other things in the tank are green neon tetra and kuhli loach. There was a glade candle burning about a few days before or something. I think it must be somthing that got into the tank but there is nothing I can think of that I dont normally do.

Glade candle could be the problem, depends on what chemicals it's got in it.

Are you using any copper at all? Is your water coming from a hot tank via copper pipes? Inverts can't tolerate it at all.

Check the food you're giving to your fish. Does it have copper listed as an ingredient? Perhaps something else you're putting in your tank that has copper like medication or supplements?
