lost a gourami yesterday. it was a turquoise one. i still have 1 and 2 dwarf gouramis. should i replace the turquoise one so that the other one has a friend?
he lost one his "feelers" about 2 weeks ago and never showed any signs of disease. he did become a bit of a loaner though. everyone else in the tank seems fine.
When feelers go short and thin it can be a sign of a bacterial infection.
I would preform a water change, and see how the fish go for a week, before adding anymore fish.
