Dead Dwarf

Today i woke up to find my male dwarf guorami (my first ever fish) floating at the top, still in colour, but dead

i dont know why he died, i have a theory that he got stressed because of the recent addition of some permanantly hyperactive zebra danios which may have stressed him, whatever the reason, me and his female will miss him

I think you're right. Gouramies really don't like such scatterbrains as danios. Watch for similar stress in the female too.

Have you tested your water as there could be all sorts of reasons he died?

yep, water is fine

It is more likely that the zebra danios were carrying some sort of disease. As you may know, dwarf oguramies are very susceptible to such illness so, while the danios would have been fine, the dwarf could very easily catch it and die before you knew what was wrong. Keep a close eye on teh female as well. Zebra danios and most gouramies get along fine as long as the tank is big enough.
