Daphnia

Ive fed brine shrimp, and hatched them ext. but id like to try daphnia... my lfs doesnt have it... they dont even have it frozen or freezedried. I was looking online this morning and i saw a starter culture for 18 dollars just for 100, which i thought was stupid becuase you can buy brine shrimp for sooooo cheap so if yall can tell me a place online with CHEAP daphnia it would be great

there are people you can pm on here that sell starter cultures of daphina but i can't think of anyone who does so i'll have a look and tell you in a minute when i remember who it is thats sells the starter cultures.

sorry i could only find people with cultures of microworms blackworms vinegar worms grindal worms and brineshrimp.

i'm sure i found a person who has a culture of daphina though....

Many years ago i used to grow my own,all you need is a large container,throw in some Daphnia and add some rotten veg.It helped see me through a whole summer.Havent tried it since though.

I got some through a small privately owned LFS, not a chain or pet store. Good luck.

I get a bag full of hundreds of them for 50p

You'd be getting ripped off if you bought those

you can buy a small bag of them by me aswel but there 99p for a little bag.

i tried frozen daphnia once but my fish werent too keen on them so i stick to frozen bloodworm and frozen brine shrimp which i get from my lfs
