One of my Lepard Danios, has a big belly and i think shes going to lay eggs soon. so what i need to know is how big are these eggs going to be and how long do they take to hatch and also what should i do when they do hatch? this is my first time i will have fish babies! i want to actually get them this time!

I have a breeding and sexing page on my website, check that out.
the egss are really smal and she should lay around 700 at each spawning
they will hatch within 36 hrs and be free swimming within 24 after that.
Note that even during spawning they will start to eat the eggs.

she definatly laid the eggs because her belly isnt big any more, its back to normal, but i see NO sign of any eggs.

The eggs are probably under the gravel or eaten.

When you do a water change, leave the old tank water out for a day or so and you should be able to see little tiny fry.

Gte ready with small foods, turkey baster, etc.

That would be so awsome! do you really think the eggs will come up in a water change? how many do you think there will be? I hope i will get some it will be so cool!!!

ok so i did the water change and im leaving the water in the bucket, so i looked down in the bucket with a flash light and i can kind of see some really really really small little ball type things and they kinda glow so that may be the eggs. i didnt see many of those tho i only saw acouple. i hope i get some danio fry that would be so awsome

Thats what mine looked like too! Now their 2 weeks old and about .25 cm long...they are soooo cute! I only thought there were 2...now there's 14! Have fun with them.

WOW! this is exciting, this is the first time i will have fry! thats really .
