They had blood worms today. I vary the diet between flake and worms. Feed them every day but only what the can eat in a couple of min!

That could be it. I think they are constipated from something. The blood worms is probably why it is red.

I forgot to mention, they had an algae tablet last night. Was supposed to be for plec but the other buggers got to it first !!

I'm just wondering what size is your tank and what fish do you have in it?

It's over stocked i think. Is about a foot long. A 30 litre tank. I have 4 danios, 3 male guppies, 2 corrys and a 7 inch plec. I had a 30 litre before with more fish than that in it and it was fine for ages !!

Yeah you need to re-home the plec pronto. they get to be a foot long. Besides that your tank would be okay with 2 weekly water changes.

All same same this morning, fish still alive, swimming fine etc. The plec will be rehomed soon to a tank double the size. And then again when i move. I will get a four foot tank !! I did'nt get a big tank now coz they're more difficult to move than a couple of smaller ones !!

Thanks. I hope this is the case. I'm parnoid that its dropsy as my fish were ill over the weekend and i lost four of them. I know they often develop dropsy as a secondary illness. Although as i say, they are swimming and eating fine and have been fine all week since i noticed on Sunday !!

mainly the females are bigger and fatter than the males, this is definitely the case with my white clouds.
