I set up a breeding tank for my Corys as the are always laying eggs. Anyway I was very careful to follow procedure but non hatched. Since I set up the tank Ive just left it and didnt bother attending to it as its in the cellar. Anyway three weeks later i was just walking past it and there on the filter with nothing else in the tank is a 1 inch damselfly nymph! I can only presume it had got into my main tank via a plant. When i removed the eggs from the main tank I removed the whole plant they were on so I'm guessing it came from there.
So at least I know why non of the fry lived! However I now dont know what to do. Initially I was going to clean the tank out but dont want to kill the poor little fella despite being an unwelcome hitchhiker! But if I do keep the tank what will happen with him and can I even put anything else in there?
