My Koralia 1 was noisy when first set up. But it's ok now after turning it off for a few seconds when it got noticeably loud then turning it back on.

ill give it a week and see what happens, but i will have to unplug it at night to keep the mother happy.

A week should be enough to see if it is bedding in or a product fault.

My new pump to power the UV is noisy at the moment, will settle down soon am confident of that.

aye, a future upgrade C with a 7096 controller too :p

its shut up now... primarily because it knows im going to take it back if it doesnt behave.

hi
that happend to me i phoned up and they said it could be a airlock but it was a faulty and once i got to lfs the put it into there tank and it didnt make a noice

my koralia 1's did this when new and have quietened loads now (4/5 months later) and i found that a quick on off on the plug stopped the noise.

I think air gets trapped and that's what causes the noise I do believe :)

yeah air does get trapped in the koralias.

I sort mine out by removing it from the mount and giving it a good rotate and shake whilst still submerged.

I have a nano, 1 and 3 and all do this.

I had two nanos and a 1. They all did the same to start with. They tend to get airlocked a lot for the first week or two. Just switch them on and off a couple of times and they will go queit again. Afte a couple of weeks they settle down and I cant hear mine at all anymore.
