I have just obtained a silver shark approx 6 inches long and it has slight damage to its lower lip, doesn't seem to worry it at the moment but can anybody recommend any treatment to add to the water that may help. Thanks John

The best thing you can do for him is to make sure your water parameters are perfect. If you have a liquid test kit (and you should have) you should have readings of 0:0:less than 40 for ammonia:nitrite:nitrate respectively.

What you can use as a medication depends where you are from as stuff that's available over the counter in the US, for example, is not always available in the UK.

I'm in the uk and been advised to use stuff called Melafix

Yes Melafix is good but I'd use eSHa2000 which is a broad spectrum medication and is available in the UK.
