Dalmation Mollie Changed Colour?

When I got my male dalmation Mollie a few months ago he was gorgeous. He was mostly black with a generous splash of white dappling, and he had blue flecks in his tail and orange flecks in his fins. I went away for the last four days and have come home to discover he has lost all his white colouring. He still has the blue and orange flecks in his fins but he has lost all his white and has gone solid black. Is it common for mollies to change theri colours like this. I still think he's beautiful but I'm confused as to why he would change colour like that.

It's common for Dalmations to blacken as they age.

mine change color too, i figure they are still growing up.... so who knows what they'll be once they are full "adult" fish

my male changed too. i think (but dont quote me) that mine changed darker because i have a black male molly who is bigger than him
