I have a dark dalmatian molly that I thought to be pregnant, but she has yet to give birth. She looks HUGE! I am unsure of what to do. I would like to upload a picture, but I seem to have a problem uploading... She also has a big white spot under her tail. I am very unsure of what is going on. Is she pregnant, sick, dying?

Looks like a balloon molly. She is definitely pregnant but those darned balloon mollies can be hard buggers to peg a gestation time on. I'd say she'll go soon, within the next week or so.

Edit: Also, how often do you feed? She appears to be carrying a few extra pounds, unrelated to the pregnancy.

Ye Balloon's can be very difficult to tell. Even when their not pregnant they still look huge. This is due to the deformed body shape compressing the body shape.

My fish get fed twice a day. Once early in the morning and once evening time. I was told she was a dalmatian molly because the pet store that I got her from didn't have any balloon mollies. I have been doing research on dalmatian mollies, but I guess I need to start looking into info on balloon mollies...

Dalmatian mollies are a simple color variation. Balloon mollies are genetically different to regular mollies (some call it defective) and come in all of the same colors as regular mollies.

It's a toss up! Watch her growth closely!
