I've seen my male pearl gourami make the same face that kissers do, but not to the other gourami. Don't worry about them being gay, the kissing is a test of strength, not a show of affection.

Not sure how, but they can. I have two female angelfish who lay eggs together occasionally. I thought they were just lousy parents for a while.
