D.i.y Nursery

Hey i need advise on a nursery for my fry that are comming soon my platy is heavily pregnant i have a small 40 lite tank aprox 1 foot and i was thinking instead of gettin one of those small boxes mabye making a D.I.Y section off...er. a piece of plastic or maybye very fine netting to sction off a small part of my tank maybye like a quarter of it so that my fry can be raised in there. but im just a noobie and i dont know if this could be a stupid thing to do i need your advise !!!! plz help!!!

You can get plastic canvas which you can cut to size,or dividers and clips for holding these can be bought on ebay,but has your tank is only 40 litres,sectioning off a small tank won't leave a lot of space for your other fish,plus after a while depending on how many she drops you could end up with anything from a few to 20 fry maybe lots more(my blue platy dropped average 60 fry),you will then become overloaded after a time has they start growing...

well i am looking for a 3 foot tank but i cant fins one and im hoping some of my friends will take some fry when they get a little bigger
