I'm definitely not new to the hobby , but decided to post this here anyways. I am about to start up a 28-gallon hexagon tank for mystery snails. I plan to use the "add and wait" method to cycle it. There will be no fish in the tank, only snails. Do I cycle this tank exactly as I would for fish? Also, in addition to the filter and gravel, do I add the decor (driftwood and limestone/Texas holey rock) before I cycle? Should I go ahead and add the live plants before I cycle or wait for them until I get the snails? Thanks ahead!

Yup, you cycle it just like for fish. Add your decor from the beginning, and you can add your plants, they'll help with the cycle. If you do add the plants, don't be surprised if you don't see a nitrite spike.
