Cycling Help Ph Has Increased

Since yesterday when I added the mulm my PH has gone from:
PH 7.6
High Range PH 7.4

which is the same as my cycled tank always is

To:
PH 7.6
High Range PH 8.8

Is this normal, a good thing or not?

Oh and Amonia is 0 or 0.25 hard to tell and Nitrite 0

The high range on the API kiits are not seperate test as far as im aware there just a contuniation from low to high? As in they both just test for the smae thing

for cycling, i think u'd want to have ur PH go up rather than go down and stall the cycle!
