Cycling A Breeder Tank

hi guys

was wondering as im setting up a breeding tank, ill be using a filter from my old tank (had a new one running in tandom for about 4 days now) and water from my old tank and artificial plants from my old tank

will i need to let the tank cycle or can i pop a preggy platty in straight away

do a water test, if the ammonia is zero and nitrites zero then ye go ahead. i would think it should be fine because you have basically cloned your tank. (which is good) lol

good luck with it, platys are great fun to breed!

The filters need to run together for about two weeks to properly transfer bacteria.
