Hi,

I will be setting up a 38Gal tank. Is it a good idea to have plants to start the cycling process? I already have all the stones and driftwood ready and cleaned. I will be putting eco-complete substrate for the plants and would like to plant the tanks while doing the cycling process. Is there a problem with that? I would like to avoid disturbing the substrate after setup.

Thanks,
Alan

Best way to complete a fish less cycle is bare tank (gravel/sand is fine) adding things like wood and plants can change the water stats and while cycling you can add things like bakeing soda or do big water changes if you cycle stalls :good:
