Cycle Again?

Hi I started a cycle the other day and I have only been testing for ammonia,

1st day - topped it up to 5ppm ammonia

2nd day - test and is down to 4ppm

3rd day - test and is down to 2 ppm

The colour charts are all quite similar thoe and hard to read.

They are indeed a bit hard to read. As your ammonia approaches 0 it will be much easier to tell the colors apart. If you are doing the add and wait method, it will soon be time to dose back up on the ammonia. Do you have any plants in the tank? If not, the drop that fast is a bit unusual.

no plants yet, ordered 2 crypts the other day but yet to arrive, as for the readings, maybe I am just convincing myself that they are going down so fast when really they arent, the green shades are all quite similar. Guess I will just have to keep checking daily until I see abit of yellow in the colour.
