It had to happen some time - I've had 2 females (albino socolofi and a crabro) in my (supposed to be) all male tank for a couple of years now (i allways get my Mbuna as Juvies but these 2 i just got the sex wrong). I got attached to them and decided to leave them in the knowledge that some day one of the males (all different species) may cross breed with 1 of them.
Well it's finally happened - my albino socolofi is holding and the male involved is the Cyaneorhabdos. I am going to let nature take it's course so i'll be surprised if any resulting fry actually make it but we'll see - could be an interesting colour/shape combination if they do. I'm not certain if it's even possible for Melanochromis/Pseudotropheus to successfully crossbreed but i suspect it is theoretically feasible.
Anyways - just thought i'd share that with you all and i'll keep you posted.
