Custom Lid

Hey guys,

So i've got my new tank all setup etc... but I would have liked to have two lights, one for the "day" and a blue tinted one for night time (which looks very nice also)... my Juwel Rekord 70 came with a lid with only 1 socket for lighting.... is it possible to get a custom made one for this tank, with two sockets so I can switch between two lights?

sure you can, if you're a bit handy you can make one yourself, if not then there are plenty of companies who do custom made aquariums who I'm sure would be able to just make a hood.

I'm not that handy really (only 21 so not too much experience!)

I took a piccy of my lid at the moment though.. not sure if anyone knows of anyone in the UK who does this via online or something?

would it not be as simple as buying yourself some light fittings (b+q?) and fixing them in yourself? might save you some money?

As I said above, i'm not a DIY person.. not only that, I dont think my lid has room for another bulb like the one in the picture...
