Started as a way to fix things I break. Became a hobby, now I supplement my income building custom fishing rods.

Takes me anywhere from a week to several months to make one. Ones like the South Korean flag weave took four months to complete.
Once the thread is on, I apply special epoxy in several steps to protect the work and give it a decal like look. I've had several people ask me where I got those "neat stickers" for my rods.
Its not all about the look though, selecting the proper blank, guides, engineering the layout of the whole thing is what makes the difference between getting lucky, and getting good. I don't care how a rod looks if it breaks on one of these....
