Hi all. I've just got one of these and I wanted to ask if I'm supposed to take it out of it's little plant pot or leave it in? There's lots of roots coming through the bottom of the pot and there's like spongy stuff inside the pot around the plant. I've put it in as it is for now and wedged it with a rock.

Can someone advise me if I've done it right or if I'm supposed to remove the pot and spongy stuff. Thank you :)

personally id take it out the pot :good: i never have anything potted in my tank the spongy stuff is rock wool. remove this and plant the plant in your substrate =]. you can trim the roots a little as well to encourage more growth

crypts to like there roots compact though.

Ok, thanks Mike. I'll see to it now :)

Remove the plant pot and rock wool around it. Don't worry if you pull some roots off whilst doing it. And also be aware that the leaves will probably melt as they adjust to your water conditions.

I've now taken the pot off and removed as much of the rock wool as I could .. if I'd taken it all I'd have broken the plant into bits which I didn't want to do.
I like the look of it so I may get more later on

I've just got to hope that the fish don't discover it tastes nice now :hyper:
