Cruelty everywhere!

I'd say take photos first. Take lots from different angles, then pick the 'best' three or so (I mean the ones where you can see how awful it is) and email them to the rspca or someone. Ask them what they can do, if they say they can't do anything, ask why. And if it comes to it, email your local council (or whatever you have in the US) and say this is what the current laws allow people to do.

whats the rspca?

what about Peta, I herd they care about fish, though they seem extreme.

whats the R stand for I mean.

I love the Housten Animal cop show, lol. I watch it in the summer.

Personally I'd rather see it stolen than called in to PETA. If they had their way no one would own fish....or any other animal....and we'd all be vegitarians....

Yes, but they can scare people into not putting fish in really small bowls :p and I wouldn't mind them scaring a few people :shifty:

If all else fails....use guilt. Its the greatest tool of mankind, and probably the oldest. Also appeal to his/her intelligence and compassion.

Tell the teacher....how is he representing a responsible scientist by keeping a lifeform in such poor conditions, for NOTHING?

We must make a better impression on budding scientists than THIS. What is the purpose of science but to ultimately better life for all? How can you claim to represent this standard when you can't even keep a goldfish properly?

This fish could live to be more than twenty years old in the proper conditions, some have lived even longer. The way that this fish is suffering, I would be surprised if it made it another 2 years. :-(

I understand there has to be some sacrifice when it comes to experimentation in science, so don't get me wrong....but there is a clear line to be drawn between responsible/necessary animal testing and just being cruel to something because you don't give a hoot about its condition.

Gets em everytime.

Wow! I came back on to this forum after a few days of not being on, due to some computer who shal remain anonymous deciding not to work. Thanks all, for the replies. Maybe at the end of the school year (which is in 2 weeks) I will ask if I can buy poor charlie off of them.

yeh my mum has a 2 or 3 gal goldfish tank which is green, it also has a filter but the pads are brown and the gravel is horrible, so when they went away a few weekends ago, i cleaned the gravel and the tank and got new filter pads....they didnt even notice.

Its just between me and them ;)
