Easily YES, a betta with a large tail would have barely any room at all!

That tank would be a nice fry tank though... :unsure:

IT would have to be a very special plant :lol:

I would say it depends more on your experience level, and what your plans are for the particular fish. Per this interview, with a well known and accomplished show breeder, it is more than adequate.

"Phil: I use beanie baby containers that hold 1/2 gallon of water. These must be 100% completely changed every third day."

Per the Ebay link;

"This tank is suitable for only 1 Male Betta / Siamese fighter, 25% of the water should be changed at least twice to three times a week."

While they are on the money with stocking I would suggest larger water changes than 25%. Jars ranging from 1/2 to 1 gallon are commonly used by breeders, as long as you are mindful of the maintenance requirements it isn't a problem.

very true tolak, as i am planning on breeding my self, my fry will go into a 7l each until sold/rehomed which i am hoping won't be too long.

for the short term i'd say its fine but a perminant home, really not my thing and for that price you could get a much more suitable tank

Seeing as I get most of my gear used or make it myself that price is nuts.

i get 7l storage boxes for 99p from Homebargins :good:

i currently have some newly born Betta Falx fry in one, small sponge filter few plants, perfect :lol:
