Zaboo used to be really picky, now he eats everything! My friend fed him a few minutes ago when I was in the shower (ugh..), she says he ate a couple flakes. I know he ate too much; his belly is rounded and slightly white. He's as active as always, but I'm afraid he'll get constipated or swim bladder--- The flakes weren't pre-soaked, so he must have swallowed air, too!

Is there anything I can do for him while I fast him for a few days? He is in a 2.5 gallon, so he swims a lot- is exercise good for the digestive system? He's searching the bottom for any crumbs (there shouldn't be any), he's ridiculous. I'm flipping out.. :(

Wait until tomorrow night (1 full day) to see if he poos most of it out. If he does then he should be fine, you could give a bit of de-shelled pea if you want, but i'd wait a day just to see if he does it on his own, he might. Dont feed him tomorrow.

One of my bettas just did the same thing last night...He's poo'ed most of it out today though thankfully. His belly was so big last night I thought I was going to wake up today to a very sick fish. I had fed him last night like I usually do, then dropped a sinking pellet in for the ghost shrimp and snail. I got on my computer for a few minutes, and turned back around to look at the tank. Poof! Finneus ate the whole pellet...his belly shortly there after swelled up really big. (He looked like an over sized pregnant guppy!) He's doing fine now though! He's still searching the tank for tidbits of food...He will be on a diet for several days too until he's all back to normal. Some fish just don't know when to stop! lol

Good luck with your guy! :) I'm sure he'll be fine!

Zaboo is doing fine; though I did have a mini- heart attack when I saw his belly last night! Haha, bettas are ridiculous with feeding; they just don't stop! :) Apparently if they don't show obvious signs just after feeding, they're likely to be fine; great thing to know!

By the way, your fish are gorgeous; I especially love Finneus~!

His belly looks pretty much normal, so he should be fine in a day or two; thanks! :) I unneccessarily stressed out, I guess..

Thanks! I just wish he'd grow his tail back :) hehe...he tried to tell the last 2 filters I had who was boss...and lost. It's starting to grow back slowly with this third filter lol. (Third time was a charm!)
