Hey, I have new babies that were born last night from my Molly, (she's a black molly) anyways, the babies look tiny, to small to be mollies, and their see-thru, I thought they'd mostly be black like my other ones were when they had their babies (months ago) anyways, I have a community tank (20 gallon) with mollies, tetra's, white clouds, and a male guppy, he's always trying to breed with my fish (non-guppies) do you think he bred with my molly? I'm only asking 'cause I put her in the 5 gallon tank to give birth, so I know the babies came from her as she was the only fish in there, and, if it's even possible to cross-breed, will my babies have problems? I have 6 babies, but one was a still birth :(, so I have 5 babies that are alive,

It is possible for those two to cross breed. Weather they did or not will be hard to tell until the fry get older.

A little while ago, (about Feb/march)... we had someone on here with photos of his Guppy/Mollie xbreds....

I remain sceptical, as I've kept them together for many moons and have never seen this.... I know my Platies will interbreed some hybrids with Swordtails, but I've never positively heard of Guppy/Molly x breeds....

I just find it weird, that my black molly gives birth to clear/see-thru babies, and they're a lot tinier than normal mollies, they look like when my guppies had babies, I just find it weird, if they are crossbred, I hope they'll be ok!

They'll be fine as it is with any livebearer fry, and you're right,... there is a distinct difference in the size of Guppy & mollie fry.... The only thing is though.... they will not be able to reproduce once they are adults....(if by some fate they are indeed Guppy/mollie hybrids)

Ya, well, I was planning on selling my molly fry, to my lfs, but if they even happen to be crossbred (not saying they are) I doubt he'll take them :(

Very few pet shops will buy them as fry.... But they will be interrested once you have adults.... even if you mention they are hybrids... (for their unique valaue)

No, that's what I meant, lol, sorry, ya when they're adults I was going to sell them,... Sorry for the confusion! lol
