I've made a silly mistake

I thought the young platies in my tank were wagtails but it turns out they're hybrid Mickey Mouse x Wagtail.  My fault.

I originally intended to find good homes for them but now I feel I can't allow them to breed since they're mongrels.  I can either take them to my LFS who will put them into their Lucky Dip tank and possibly end up breeding in someone else's home, or I could advertise and try to sell them as feeder fish?  I've no idea if this would be worthwhile or if there is any demand for feeder fish around here, it doesn't seem to be as common a practice in the UK as it is over the pond.  I never see any adverts for them.

Pan seared, with a pesto dressing? ;)

They're still platys, just a colour variation, they're not hybrids

It's actually illegal to feed live fish to other fish in the UK, or any vertebrate for that matter. I imagine they're healthy, so why not give them to the LFS and let someone who wants them have them?

Ah okay thanks, I had no idea it was illegal here, that would explain why I never see them for sale.  I just wasn't sure if it was acceptable to give mongrels away.  Lucky Dip it is!
