They both look very good, i think you should either add more plants or take them all out though, doesnt look right with just the 3 of them.
Can you hide the heater bedind the rock strucure, would look a lot better if it was out of sight.

Other than thet a very nice job

wow! :)

top photo definately.put in some more plants and it'll look stunning

good job

I cant add many other plants as it is a cichlids tank and these are one of the only types that they wont eat. I do agree about the rock i have been moving it around everywater change. I will post some more pics over the weekend after i move it all.

I think you should add some tall plants to the back, and maybe cover the heater (it doesn't bother me) but in the recent post, some guy said it spoilt the illusion, I don't know what he's been smoking, but I think adding tall plants at the back would make it look a bit more spacious, I know it sounds daft as it would take up room, but I reckon it will!

Some nice tallish plants to hide the heater and maybe a few short ones in front of the rock.. if your not into plants then I would move the rocks more together so it looks like a rock slide type thing. wow I wish I had a tank like that. :) good job

Iv just read this after posting myself, i agree with you.. it would make it look more.. hmm I dunno,. I saw a chiclid (spell?) tank the other day with rock like that and it looked so lovely with many plants in of all sizes.. and they had that grown fake grass aswell covered in sand.. wow it was lovely then I had to come home to my drab tank

Do malawis eat anubaias? I think some anubias nana might look great attached to the rocks seeing as they don't need to grow in sand. I think I've seen it before in a malawi tank.

i would add more plants to the cracks and seams where they can fit.they dont have to be real but it would look nice

i like it as it is!!

but if i was gonna change it , i think it would be nice if both sides were built up with the rocks but spaces so the fish could swim in and out and leave the middle empty

hello ginge (from hayling)
i have all the decor at the ends of my tank and find the fish really benifit from the open space in the middle, especially the big fish (bala's), my pictus seem to enjoy dashing from one end to another dashing through the air curtain on the way.
