crickets?

yes and no. crickets caught in a backyard always come with a slight chance of pesticide, especially if you live in a rural area or near a golf course, public garden, etc. you probably wouldn't want to risk your fish to save a couple of nickels.

most pet shops sell crickets of various sizes for pretty well close to nothing. i'd get a few from there and see how that works!

i cought thousands of crickets in my backyard for my oscar (gone) and my sevs, and well all my fish

it was fun

You would have to buy the crickets, no biggy they don't cost much. I feed my lizards crickets from the stores. It's just safer that way.

If you do feed crickets from the stores it's a good idea to fatten them up first. They're usually malnurished, at least around here, which in turn doesn't do much for the fish. Found this out keeping a bearded dragon.
