Of all the junk she's been eating, now she nipped a plant root and ate it as if it were spaghetti. Could that harm her? It was quite big, I couldn't stop her from eating it as she ran with it in her beak.
She doesn't seem to have any trouble yet.

The fish should be fine. Most fish are omnivores so they don't just eat meat, some even need vegetable material in their diet or they will suffer greatly; there are even fish that are complete vegetarians as well. You should provide vegetable material for the fish anyway. Perhaps algae tablets once in a while.

It's not that I fear of it being toxic, as I know she's been chopping off small pieces of leaves every now and then. It was the size of the thing she ate... She doesn't seem to be bothered by it.

I would try algae waffers but not sure if they have them on sale nor do I have money atm, I'm still waiting to find out when I get my next salary and dad's a cheapskate, won't lend me 2 euros to connect my card to paypal. -.-
Is salad ok as a vegetable? I'm not sure what the iceberg salad that is said to be avoided looks like...

wow. So that 1.5 cm long root is nothing to her then. LOL.
She also has a weird habit of eating sand grains and poop. -.- At least she keeps the tank clean lol.
