Crab Lost Its Big Claw

Hi,

I have a fairly mature Cameroon Crab that shed about 10 days ago. It is usually quite a shy creature and sometimes I don't really see it for days. Today I noticed that it has lost its big claw. It sometimes has "battles" with my Plec with the Plec always seeming to come out on top. Could my crab have lost its claw when it shed or is it more likely to have lost it in a fight? I can't find evidence of the claw in the tank but I have been clearing out the remains from its shed as I find bits during changes etc.

i think its far more likely it lost the claw, during moult
