Well, last Sunday when we had an aquaterra fair, I've purchased 22 CPOs for a good price. I was participating as an exhibitor myself (as usual). Almost at the end of the fair, I went to another exhibitor which sold crustaceans. I was planning to just get a trio of them. But he didn't like to bring them all back to his place. So, I made deal with him. For I used to keep and breed these as well. And recently I got the idea to start keeping and breeding them. But now I do have a nice group of them. And in a group, they tend to breed easier anyways...
The majority are females...

if they are breeding for you, can you list the specifics about your tank???

I started with a group of 5, and the tank has lots of hiding places, but I can usually see them 2 or 3 at a time… I’d like to add another group that size, just for genetic diversity…

They're in a 20 gallon tank. They're in hard water (our local water is hard). The tank itself has got fine gravel, some anubias, hornwort and cryptos as plants. And some wooden deco and some lava rock. That's all. In the past I even kept them in a smaller tank and they did well overthere as well.
