Hope everything goes ok Shelagh, hope you, KIDS and boys make it ok.

You could always get yourself some large poly boxes, several heat packs, large bags to triple bag them and do it yourself if you cant find anyone. That way you can bag them right at the last minute after everything else is ready to go, box them with heat packs and you would know they were safe in the back of your car, securely fixed so as not to be banged about. You can get the larger boxes or you could make your own out of polystyrene and a normal box, line the box with the polystyrene, I know they would need to be big boxes, but you would have to do that anyway for any courier.

Have you tried contacting one of the good mail order fish companies like Trimar to see if they can put you in touch with the company that they use for deliveries or something like that?

Hope everything's OK, the move goes smoothly and turns out to be the right chocie!

xx

i have use jm couriers for fish good job they do
but have been told of couple bad pick ups of tanks del them then the owner finds when cracked 1 out of 3 (3ft)but jmcoiriers says it was fine when we drop them of to u so bewhere and check before signing and they leaving your place

as soon as u have signed for it u lost out if anything is wrong with it

but they are good i used them couple times and maybe using them again in couple wks

i think its apc they use?

Wouldnt you feel better if they were boxed up and had seat belts around them in your car?

You can wrap the boxes in bubble wrap and everything if you are worried...

It may seem easier to get them transported by a courrier, but you would be constantly worrying about them and would be even more upset if a disaster happened. At least if you move them yourself you can be sure they are in the best posible hands - not being shaken up or dropped.

You would drive carefully, and slowly enough to ensure less stress. They would be busy dropping lots of things off, throwing the van around corners and roundabouts.

i have finally made the descion... im taking jambo and rehoming all the others :-( the babies i will give to the lfs with strict intructions that they dont go to muppets, ( although hes a good bloke anyway)and day day is being advertised :( with is tank .. i had to do this as i have to get back home quickley, i know i`ll regrette it, but i have a few weeks to make sure he goes to a loving home.. it wasnt easy for me, but neither will the stress of having to move them all single handidly be..

but the big man stays, and i will take him myself and pack his tank onto the lorry, have asked my sister to get a tank from anywhere just incase of any delays

anyone local interested in giving day day a home for life, plz get in touch ( hes the white/orange one in my sig)

Not a nice decision to make, but im sure it is the right one. That way you can make sure Jambo gets all the care and attention possible to ensure a happy new start.

Aren't you tempted to keep a baby or two. Raise the new generation?
