Hi, i have ordered all my stuff that i will need, and have bought a tank, but unfortunately, it is 15" high, rather than 12"...
Will this make a significant differance to my plants? Will they look much worse?
Also, i will have only 2.4 WPG, because of the extra water volume..

Thanks alot, Mikey

2.4 WPG is still pretty good for quite a few aquatic plants. The height shouldn't have much more of an effect than allowing your plants to grow taller. Are you supplying CO2 to your new tank?

Wonderboy is quite right, 2.4 WPG is more than enough, just make sure that you DO do CO2, otherwise you'll have algea probs. Perhaps look at EI dosing to have a jungle in no time!

Yeah, i will have CO2, and ill be dosing with ferts (whats EI? Ive heard it being used, but dont know what it is..)
I will be making a diary/journal, in the next couple of days, when all my things start arriving.

Thanks for the quick and helpful answers :good:

EI = Estimative Index, read the pinned article on it at the top of the planted forum, you'll probably find it quite interested ;)
