Quick couple of queries:
1. Can I cut the rigid bit of the intake pipe (the bit which attaches to the hose and goes in the tank) to shorten it so I can lift the intake further from the substrate? (as it is a sand substrate my filter is clogging fairly regularly.)
2. After cleaning the filter (well rinsing the pads in the water in the filter then emptying the water out and reassembling the filter) when I turn the filter on I end up with a cloud of bits being blown into the tank which take a while to vanish - suspect they're not bad for the fish though as they go into a feeding frenzy
- any idea what's causing this?
