Could Zucchini Water Be Toxic To Kribs?

I forgot to take the zucchini out last night, so it's been in since yesterday lunch time, till I got home from work tonight when I realised as soon as I saw how cloudy the tank was. Now, I have done this before with no effect on any of the fish. But my new Krib's have gone into hiding under the filter, IME this is not a good sign, usually it's a fore runner to the death of the fish concerned. Could the zucchini water be a bit toxic?

Water change run some black carbon.
Test the water.
