Can someone confirm this as white spot please? I am pretty sure its been caused by the constant chasing from the aggressive penguin tetra (does that sound right?)

I have treatment, but its a few years old (possibly 3) will it still be active? Its protozin by waterlife.

I have Otos, Cardinals, Neons in the tank.

yeah looks like whitespot to me, does the treatment have a useby date? id chuck it anyway it's very old, id get tetra contraspot whitespot treatment, that one works very well, just follow the instructions.

Thanks,

The use by is 07/2011. I am going to use this up and then if i need more then i'll pick that one up. I kinda get the feeling it should be in the cupboard!

It should be ok if its unopened - if you have opened and used some then best to bin it as its 3 years old and would have lost its strength.

Thats exactly what my black neons looked like. I treated with API super ich treatment. Hoping it doesn't come back.

Thanks very much for the advice. I used the rest of what i had (only because i had no chance to buying a replacement over the weekend). I've noted down your suggestted replacements and i'll pick up a bottle of whatever LFS stocks.

They have had 3 days treatment and look in fine fettle once again. I'm doing a water change on tuesday, so i'll put the last of the treatment (tiny dose) in tonight. Only one of the cardinals looks like has just one tiny spot on his tail. The Otos seem totally unaffected.

I have a bulk of cherries arriving wednesday, i should be alright given the W/C on tuesday...Right??
