there seems to be some sort of ritual going on here,
they are golden gouramis
the male is being quite aggresive biting her "bum" and they have been curling round eachother and kissing , then he goes off and makes bubbles that are floating on the top of the water behind the filter, and she is going mental swimming up and down verticaly in the stream of bubbles from the air stone and as she is swimming down i can see just how big her " belly" is

what am i supposed to do , will she have eggs or babies if she has anything????

they are in a tank with 6 dwarf gouramis and the tank is being treated for white spot

Well 3-spot gouramis are fairly easy to breed. Make sure you have floating plants or a plastic lid to help the male build a bubble nest.

This link has all the info on the courtship and breeding.

If you ever do suceed in getting eggs, the male will become very territorial and might attack all your other fish, maybe even kill them. So I would place them in a seperate tank for them to breed and then remove the female after she is done. The male will care for the eggs until they are free swimming.

thats brilliant information thankyou, the male is still trying to build his nest, but hes not having much luck as the current keeps taking them away.
i will get someplants as i dont have a lid of any sort just the hood

and fingers crossed, i have tanks ready that i can move the other too, so with any luck i may be a granny soon lol!!!!
