could jack be a hm cross

now that jack fins are mending he is turning in to a different fish, he seems to be looking like a hm, if you look at his belly fin it is very straight where as all my other vt have a slanted one, and his tail is slowly getting there aswell

Theoretically, yes, he could be. It would be unlikely, though, because that isn't usually done, but he could come from an amateur breeder who crossed an HM and a Veil.

Some Veils, though, just have very voluminous tails. It looks like that's Jack's case to me.
