Could my baby swordtail really be pregnant?
I just had a good look at her and the is squared off!!
Also she has been lousing about at the bottom of the tank for a few days, can't see a gravid spot
she is about 8 months old now she is about this big ..................
So could she really be pregnant?

yes definetly can be pregnant if it has been with a male.....actually im in the process of finding out if my 4 month old guppy is pregnant cause she has goten fater and her gravid spot is darker..she has been with her brothers and adults so idk shes about ------------ big

At 8 months old, a female swordtail will often be carrying fry. At only 2 cm long, I find it unlikely though. A fish usually grows more quickly than that in 8 months. I have endlers much younger than that who look full grown.

she is a bit bigger than that im just not that accurate when she keeps hiding

ive seen her borthers try to mate with her and swimming next to her while putting their gonopodiums by her but i never seen it actually happen..but it mustve happend cause she is fatt.when did ur female fry start to get color caause mine doesnt have any?
