Hi ,i` ve got a 28l with a betta in ,could i add 5 platys and 5 neons to the tank as well?

as i said i feel it just ins't big enough, both are very active fish and for me the minimum tank size is 60l

if you really want some neons, you could rehome the betta and get a shoal of 6 and maybe a few shrimp

Thanks but i was thinking of 5 neons and a betta,or what about pygmy corries?

Pygmy Cory's would go well with the Betta imo. Neons may be a bit big when fully grown i reckon. :/

Thanks all ,so how many pygmy corries could i have with my betta in my 28l?

What about these Maisy, neon green rasboras. They stay very small too. I've seen them in my lfs and they are soooo brightly coloured.

My local Maidenhead Aquatics and I wanted them staright away. The colour was just stunning that picture is how they looked in the shop in real life. There is a person on ebay I've bought fish from who sells them. I'm defo getting some myself when I have room.

I agree that whatever else goes in here will need to be a small shoal (6-ish) of something very small (1 inch). The green Rasboras above look like they would be perfect.

Also, normally a Betta in a small community tank would be added a few weeks after the last addition, once everyone else has already established their territory. Im not sure how this would effect you currently.
