Ive got a 3ft tank with 5 channa assams in around 4" mark. Would i be able to keep any other fish with these without any problems? Im hoping for at least one pair from them. Also could i keep another channa species of the same requiments with the assams if i wanted ? Ive seen other keepers keep 2 different species toghether, so just wondered if its advisable.

Thanks in advance :)

I kept other fish in with mine with no problems however it was a temporary thing and I personally enjoyed channa in a species only group as i think they become more interesting that way

In a word, NO.

Channa sp. Assam are like most snakeheads best kept in species only tanks.
Also remember that Assam are SUB-Tropical and best kept under 20c. (Mine were kept 18c for most of the year, and 21c during summer months.
