Would it be possible to keep a pair of rams or apistos with 2 angelfish??

the angels have not shown any aggression towards each other, depsite a noticable size difference between the 2, or the other fish in my aquarium, mixture of tetras and a few bottom dwellers.

I dont think id want to try it tbh, im a particular lover of all things dwarf and cichlidy type...

I have Rams and Apistos and wouldnt want to chance them with angels.

I've kept Bolivian Rams with angels with no problems. No bad aggression from either - Rams are more than capable of standing up to angels, if anything they're more bolshy than them. :good:

I keep rams in with my angels, but it's a big tank.

Then again, I keep my angels in with much smaller fish (even tetras) too with no problems - it's a well planted 6ft tank though.

It's a 180 litre witha lot of bogwood and a few plants aswell. The angels are nowhere near full grown yet, I have heard that if you put fish like tetras in with Angels whilst the Angels are still young and fairly small that when they grow they don't see the smaller fish as enemies/food.

Spose you could try that, angels arnt really aggressive anyway.I kept a neon with my texas for 2 months ...lol your thinking wt* .I didn't know what to do with him as his buddys had all gone.It eventually died of stress...i wonder why my texas cichlid didn't eat it.He tried to kill all my other fish, severums, parrot fish, massive plecs etc all the ones bigger then him.So maybe he didn't see it as a threat

In that size tank, id say it would be fine. They are both peaceful species unlike many cichlids so they should mix well.
