Hey guys. My Green terror has an affinity for algae wafers, I have to drop 3 in the tank to make sure my bristlenose at least gets one of them. He often grabs the algae wafer before it hits the ground, and carries it around chewing on it like a dog with a bone. I'm worried, though, that when he's big enough to fit them in his mouth, he might choke since no more chewing will be necessary. Is there room for concern here? is there anything I can do as a preventative?

EDIT: woops, wrong section. Didn't mean to post this in journals. Sorry.

my big cichlids ate them whole so i wouldnt worry. they are quite hard though so do take some crunching up...

the only thing you could do is snap them in half to make them obviously smaller
