Since he is huge I thought that he could be a giant? I dont know the classification for bettas being giants but i do know that his body [not inc fins] its at just over 2"?

anyways hes a feisty one!

giants are 3" body length and over, not including caudal fin. he is AWESOME in anycase.
enjoy your fish :)
cheers

If he isn't a giant he may have giant genes in him somewhere, which may give a reason for his large size without him being an actual giant perhaps?

agreed with honeythorn...even tho he isnt huge, his body conformation from your pics looks like a giant body...give him some time in nice conditions and see what happens..most lfs bettas are fairly young TBH.. only time (around a year) will tell if he is truly a giant.
he is lovely nonetheless.
cheers

Thanks :)

Ill have to see what happens, hes a feisty one, when i was trying to measure him he was chasing my ruler and trying to attack it lol

there was another PK at work that looked like it had teh giant gene, hes a marble sort of colour and then there was the metallic blue one that looked like a spade tail PK, if hes not gone soon ill have to find room!

I want more females lol there haven't been any incidents yet but, I might post pics if anyones interested lol

shame your in manchester I wana get my first betta and the marble metalic blue one at your work sounds lovely the only place near me only ever has plain red or plain blue they are still lovely looking fish but would love something a bit more special, where do you buy pellets btw?
