i was thinking of doing 2 fire mouths and a Polypterus its just a thought wanted to get your guys/gals input its a 36 x 18 x 19 in tank about 38 gallons. My linknk.

A breeding pair of firemouths would be okay, but two individuals would probably kill each other. to my knowledge even the smallest of polypterus species would be too big. From the words of the youtubes, discus are too large, minimum tank size is a 4 footer, with decent height.

You could do an individual firemouth, some medium sized tetras or barbs, and some medium sized bottom dwellers like cory catfish if you get a sandy substrate.

Did the stand come with the tank? It doesn't appear to fit properly at all. Am I seeing it properly where the right side is sitting on top of the rail? I am assuming by your comments that you are building your own stand. Are you doing that before you start the tank or down the road? If it's later, you need to fit the stand with a piece of ply to make the top of the stand flush so the tank is flat. I assume you know already but just a heads up. Good luck with it :good:

Thanks,
Steve
