Ok,I know I am seriously overstocked (10 gallons with 3 mollies, 1 platy, 4 cories, & 2 blackskirt tetras) I have a tank that is 50 gall that is cycling and so am wanting to plop the fish in there when it is done. Right now in the 10 gallon the stats aren't bad the nitrite has been staying 0 and the ammonia hovers between .25 and .5 but I am doing daily water changes. With the tank being overstocked, is there a chance that his tank will never cycle until these fish are out?

I am running 2 filters in there, a whisper 20 and a little corner filter thing (maybe like the DIY sponge filter, I bought it but it was just a corner filter :dunno: ) would it be better to take some of the fish and put them with the corner filter in a 5 gallon bucket?

Also would the overcrowding be the reason the male molly is so agressive? I understand the chasing the female aggression, but he was nipping at the cories because he wanted to eat their food. I am hoping that when they make the move, he will stop but I am wondering if he is just mean .

it will cycle even if it is overstocked (shamfully, that's how i cycled my tank too)
you just need to do daily water changes to keep the ammonia and NO2 low
