But six corys for a 28l is abit much. There won't be much room for them.

I was told (by alot of people) that 6 pygmy corys would be ok in a 26L tank with a male betta and i have since moved them to a 35L one, would you say that i could add 3 more pygmys comfortably?

I think it's abit much. But it's up to you.
It's only a small tank, and when the substrate added, heater, filter, plants, ornaments, there not much room left.

Is 35L about a 9 (US) gallon tank? Is the 35L cycled? I had five fish die last week from overstocking, so just from experience, it's better to understock than over. My last pygmy died on Friday.

Yes and yes, ive still got all 5 pygmys so i think they will be ok now.
